Gianluca Benigno is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the London School of Economics. He gained his PhD in International Macroeconomics from the University of California at Berkeley. He has published on exchange rate economics, international monetary policy cooperation, monetary and fiscal policy. He has consulted for the IMF and was a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and an Economist at the Bank of England.

Alfred Gossner is Executive Vice President for Finance, Control and Information Systems at the Fraunhofer Society. He studied economics and econometrics and politics at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich and the University of Lancaster, graduating in 1977. He taught at Munich and received his doctorate in 1983. He worked for Allianz Europa in Germany and Southern Africa and served on its Board, before joining Fraunhofer in 2002. He was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the Business School of the University Stellenbosch in 2010.

Peter McAdam is a senior economist at the Research Department of the European Central Bank, and visiting professor at the School of Economics, University of Surrey. He works in the fields of growth empirics, technical change, inequality and panel econometrics.

Huw Pill is the Chief European economist and co-head of the Economics team in Europe for Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in 2011 and named a Partner in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Dr Pill worked at the European Central Bank, where he was Deputy Director General of Research and Head of the Monetary Policy Stance Division. Earlier, he worked at the Bank of England and at Harvard University, where he was an Associate Professor of Business Administration. Dr Pill earned his BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from University College, Oxford, in 1989 and his PhD in Economics from Stanford University in 1995.

Stefan Profit heads the Research Unit in the Economic Policy Department of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy focusing on empirical analysis in the field of inclusive growth, productivity and investment, and the assessment of the potential growth and distributional effects of structural reforms. During his previous assignments in the ministry, he worked in the field of labour market reform and energy policy, foreign economic affairs, policy planning, and served as a personal advisor to the Minister. He has an academic background in labour economics and holds a doctoral degree from Humboldt University Berlin. He has served as an IZA Policy Fellow since 2015.

Werner Roeger is head of the unit "Models and Databases" at the Directorate General for Economics and Finance at the European Commission in Brussels. He received his PhD from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and worked at the Institute for Applied Economic Research at the University of Tübingen before joining the European Commission in 1988. In 2001 he was a visiting professor at Humboldt University in Berlin. In his work within the Commission he is responsible for developing and maintaining the international macroeconomic model QUEST III, which is used by DG ECFIN for impact assessments of structural and fiscal policies and of shocks hitting the Euro Area and its member states. Another area of activity is the regular calculation of medium term projections, potential growth and output gaps for EU member states and the development of the methodology in the context of the Output Gap Working Group of the Economic Policy Committee. His research interests focus on quantitative analysis of fiscal and structural policies as well as the analysis of external and internal imbalances.
